Short Cut Pepperoni Rolls are the ultimate crowd-pleasing snack, appetizer, or easy weeknight dinner. There is a reason why these babies went viral on my Tik Tok! By using a few clever store-bought hacks, you can have these buttery, cheesy, and golden-brown rolls on the table in under 30 minutes. Whether you’re looking for a game day appetizer or a kid-friendly meal, this recipe delivers all the flavors of a classic pepperoni pizza in a fun, pull-apart log.

Why You’ll Love These Pepperoni Rolls

• Fast & Easy: Uses pre-made pizza dough to save on prep time.

• Flavor-Packed: Brushed with a homemade garlic-herb seasoned butter.

• Perfect Texture: Crispy on the outside with a gooey, melty mozzarella center.

Ingredients

  • 13.8 oz Can Pizza Dough (approx. 391g)
  • 4 tbsp Butter, melted (56g)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 8 oz Pepperoni Slices (227g)
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (224g)
  • 1 Egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese (for topping)
  • Optional: Marinara sauce for dipping

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep and Preheat

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.

2. Prepare the Seasoned Butter

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well combined. This is the secret to that “bakery-style” savory crust!

3. Shape the Dough

Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough onto the parchment paper. Aim for a rectangle approximately 10×15 inches. Use your hands or a rolling pin to ensure the thickness is even throughout.

4. Layer the Ingredients

Brush half of your seasoned butter mixture directly onto the dough. Layer the pepperoni slices evenly across the surface, followed by a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

5. Roll and Seal

Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams to seal. Brush the top of the log with the beaten egg wash—this gives it that beautiful golden-brown shine. Sprinkle a heavy dusting of grated Parmesan over the top.

6. Bake to Perfection

Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

• Pro Tip: After the initial bake, remove the rolls and brush them with the remaining seasoned butter. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

7. Slice and Serve

Allow the rolls to cool on the pan for at least 10 minutes. This allows the cheese to set slightly so it doesn’t all run out when slicing. Slice into rounds and serve warm with a side of marinara!

Tips for Success

• Avoid Sogginess: Make sure your pepperoni isn’t overly oily. You can pat the slices with a paper towel before layering if needed.

• Switch Up the Filling: Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat or swap mozzarella for a provolone blend.
