These Vodka Chicken Parmesan Croissant Sliders stack crisp breaded chicken, creamy vodka sauce, and melted mozzarella or provolone inside garlic-buttered mini croissants. Toasting the croissants before assembly helps them hold up under the sauce while keeping their flaky texture.
The recipe makes 12 sliders for a party appetizer or casual dinner. Serve extra warmed vodka sauce alongside for dipping, and use the recipe card and process video below for the complete method.

- 1/2 lb (227g) Sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 4 tbsp (56g) Butter
- 1 tsp Minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp Dried parsley
- Small Parmesan cheese block for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken
Slice the chicken breasts in half, then into small thin cutlets. Combine with oil and seasonings. You can either chill and marinate for 1-2 hours or use them immediately.
2. Set Up the Breading Station
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Set up three shallow bowls:
1. Whisk the eggs together.
2. Combine the flour, cornstarch, and seasonings.
3. Combine both types of breadcrumbs with the grated Parmesan cheese.
3. Bread and Fry
Dredge each cutlet through the flour, submerge in the egg wash, and then press firmly into the breadcrumb mixture. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the cutlets in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 3 minutes per side). Drain on a drying rack or paper towel-lined sheet.
4. Prepare the Croissants
Slice the mini croissants horizontally and place them on a large baking sheet. Combine melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush both sides of the croissants with the garlic butter and bake for about 7 minutes or until golden.
5. Assemble and Melt
Remove the croissants from the oven. Place the chicken cutlets on the bottom halves. Top each cutlet with vodka sauce and a slice of cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
6. Serving
Place the top half of the croissant on each slider. Finish with an extra brush of garlic butter and freshly shredded Parmesan on top. Serve with extra vodka sauce on the side for dipping!
Why These Sliders Win
• The Double Crunch: Using both Panko and Italian breadcrumbs creates a superior texture that stays crispy even under the sauce.
• Garlic Butter Croissants: Toasting the croissants with garlic butter before assembly prevents them from getting soggy and adds a layer of savory flavor.
• Vodka Sauce Upgrade: The creamy vodka sauce is a sophisticated twist on traditional marinara that pairs perfectly with the buttery croissant.

Vodka Chicken Parmesan Croissant Sliders
Ingredients
Method
- 1.) Slice chicken breasts in half then into small thin cutlets. Combine with oil and seasonings. Either chill and marinate 1-2 hours or use immediately.
- 2.) Preheat oven to 350F then assemble breading station. Whisk eggs in wide and shallow bowl. Combine flour, cornstarch and seasonings in plate or small baking sheet. Combine both breadcrumbs and cheese in another plate or sheet.
- 3.) Dredge cutlets through the flour until completely covered, submerge in egg allowing the excess to drip off then dredge your fully wet cutlet through the bread crumb mixture packing it into the chicken and ensuring full and even coverage.
- 4.) Line chicken on plates. If stacking, separate layers of chicken with parchment paper so the breading does not get messed up. Chill in fridge until oil is hot.
- 5.) Heat oil in pot or deep pan over medium-high. You will know it’s ready when you place a wooden utensil onto the surface of the oil and it bubbles. Fry 1 test cutlet and time it. (About 3 minutes each side) Fry rest in batches until golden brown and crispy. Do not over-crowd the oil. Line chicken on drying rack or paper towel lined baking sheets.
- 6.) Slice mini croissants horizontally and line onto a large baking sheet. Combine melted butter, garlic and parsley.
- 7.) Brush both sides of croissants then bake about 7 minutes or until golden brown. Replace with chicken cutlets, top with vodka sauce and cheese and bake another 5 minutes.
- 8.) Assemble sliders. Add sauce to bottoms of croissant, top with cutlet and add extra garlic butter and Parmesan cheese on top. Serve with extra sauce for dipping
Serving and Troubleshooting Notes
- Keep the coating crisp: Follow the existing flour, egg, and breadcrumb order, press the crumbs onto each cutlet, and keep the breaded chicken chilled until the frying oil is ready.
- Check the oil before frying: Look for bubbles around a wooden utensil placed at the oil’s surface, using the readiness cue already provided in the recipe card. Fry one test cutlet before continuing with the remaining batches.
- Fry in batches: Avoid crowding the pan. Giving the cutlets space helps the coating brown instead of trapping excess steam.
- Toast before assembling: The garlic-butter step in the original Instructions gives the croissants a sturdier surface before the sauce and chicken are added.
- Add extra sauce at the table: Assemble the sliders with the amount directed, then serve additional vodka sauce on the side so each croissant stays flaky longer.
- Prepare components ahead: The Parmesan can be grated and the garlic butter can be mixed in advance. Keep perishable components refrigerated, then fry and assemble close to serving for the best texture.
Cheese and Sauce Options
The existing recipe allows sliced mozzarella or provolone, so either is a safe substitution without changing the method. Mozzarella gives the sliders a mild, creamy melt; provolone adds a sharper flavor. Use a jarred vodka sauce you already enjoy, since its flavor will be noticeable in every slider.
Common Questions
Why are the croissants toasted before assembly?
The brief garlic-butter toast adds flavor and gives the cut surface more structure before the vodka sauce, chicken, and cheese are layered inside.
How can I keep the chicken coating from getting soggy?
Drain the fried cutlets as directed, avoid overcrowding the oil, and wait to assemble the sliders until close to serving. Keep extra vodka sauce on the side for dipping.
Should I choose mozzarella or provolone?
Both cheeses are included as options in the original Ingredients. Choose mozzarella for a mild, creamy melt or provolone for a more pronounced savory flavor.
